Uh oh...this could be really bad

Yesterday, I did my civic duty and I voted. For the first time, however, I left the voting booth disappointed. There are several reasons why I was disappointed, but I can honestly say the MAIN reason for my disappointment is a LACK of disappointment from everyone else.
Anyone that knows anything about me, knows I'm about as conservative as they come. However, during this primary, I was forced to vote for someone that I would have never in a million years considered voting for. I found myself staring at the electronic ballot debating with myself; trying to find the "lesser of the evils". This is, in and of itself, a MAJOR problem. When the best candidate for President isn't on the ballot and we're forced to choose between the person who is most likely to do "the least damage", I believe our election system has failed us, the voters.

Speaking of the voters, where are the conservatives? As a conservative myself it really bothers me that our "voice is being silenced", not by the liberals, but by our own omission.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you're next, OUR next, President is Barack Obama. This should be sending conservatives up the wall, and its not. Why? Why is it that when you ask an Obama supporter "why do you support him?" they can't answer with anything other than 1. He's a great speaker, or 2. He's motivating, or 3. He wants change. The same people saying this are against the Bush Tax Cuts and Rebates because "the government doesn't have the money to give back to the people." Have you forgotten THAT IS OUR MONEY? That money was ours first. We gave it to the government, they're giving it back to us! Why turn this away? And above and beyond that...give them more of what they're already taking? How will less money in the pockets of the American People boost the economy? If you can't pay your mortgage now...what makes you think giving more money to the government will make it easier?

People are comparing Obama to FDR. Which in a lot of ways, Obama is presenting the next "New Deal". FDR is often credited as the "Greatest President in the history of our Nation". My question is...if he was SO GREAT, why did Congress CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION immediately following his death? Making it certain that NO ONE would EVER be in power as long as FDR?

To John McCain...the New York Times is painting you in the midst of an "intern scandal". Are you surprised? It's the New York Times. I'm reminded of an old fable...

"The weather was getting cold. The farmer was worried about his sheep in the high pastures. Wrapping his wool cloak tightly about himself, he braved the wind and climbed the steep path. As he started back down the path, hurrying to get into his warm house, the farmer saw a snake lying across the path.
"Pleeeeessssssse help me," said the snake. "I am freezing. Pleeeeeeese take me down into the valley where it is warmer"
"I'm no dummy," said the farmer. "I know who you are. You are a rattlesnake. If I pick you up, you will poison me."
"Oh, no," said the snake. "I would not do that. I promisssssse that if you carry me down the mountain I will not bite you. You and your children will be ssssssafe from me and my kind from thisssss day forward."
The farmer had compassion on the snake and he picked the snake up and put it under his cloak. He carried it down into the valley and lay it down upon the ground. As the snake began to warm, he began to slither and move. He coiled up and struck, biting the farmer in the leg.
"Ow! You promised me that you would not bite me," cried the farmer.
"Ah," said the snake, "ssssso I did. But you knew what I was when you picked me up."

Democrats are out-voting Republicans in early voting by a ratio of almost 4-1. Record numbers are reported daily at the polls. If there isn't a big shift, very soon, Texas for the first time in long time, if not ever, could be a Blue State. California, New York, and Texas will guarantee a Democratic President if Texas ends up voting Democrat.

It's time the American people started paying attention to the fact that Barack Obama makes absolutely no sense during his speeches, and really and truly has no policy. However, I believe the effects of an Obama Presidency would devastate Liberalism as we know it today, and possibly put an end to it forever. Obama is Jimmy Carter squared. If we all survived his first term, the end of Liberalism might not be so bad.

Before you vote, become educated about who and what you're voting for exactly. Remember, this plus a $1.50...
